From May 2021 to February 2023, I worked as a Product Intern at Postal.io, a B2B gifting platform that closed a $22M Series B led by Mayfield and OMERS. Working part-time during the school year and full-time over summers, I contributed to two major products: Postal Brand and Postal Vendor. This role gave me hands-on experience across the entire product development lifecycle—from conducting customer interviews and analyzing usage data to writing user stories, grooming the backlog, and launching new features alongside design and engineering teams. I learned so much from an incredible team and and my amazing manager throughout my time at Postal.
Postal Brand
Postal Brand enables companies to create custom-branded swag stores for internal gifting. I helped evolve the product roadmap for this e-commerce-style platform where employees can redeem gift cards and select from curated merchandise. My work involved gathering customer feedback, documenting functional requirements, and conducting acceptance testing to ensure a seamless redemption experience.
Postal Vendor
Postal Vendor is the platform that powers the seller side of the Postal marketplace. I focused on improving the vendor experience through features like streamlined order management, better listing tools, and incentive systems designed to encourage faster fulfillment and higher-quality product listings. This involved close collaboration with our customer success and data teams to identify friction points and prioritize solutions.
Customer Research & Insights
A core part of my role was conducting deep customer research to inform product prioritization. I produced comprehensive research decks on a weekly basis, coordinating with designers, customer success managers, and data scientists to synthesize insights from user interviews, support tickets, and product analytics. The sample deck below analyzes CSM persona behavior patterns—tracking usage trends, identifying power users, and surfacing opportunities for feature adoption. This type of analysis directly shaped our sprint planning and roadmap decisions.
