Festival of the Arts (FOTA) is an interdisciplinary festival that I founded at my high school to showcase our talented students, artists and innovators. For the 2019 event, I was tasked with creating a brand refresh, expanding the event offerings, experiential design, and web design.
Brand Design
In updating the branding, I created a geometric logo that had new shades of the bold neon colors from the original design. The creative prompt for the festival was“What do you frame?”. I hand drew a variety of picture frames in our brand colors to serve as a gallery wall motif for the branding.
Maker Market
A new addition to Festival of the Arts I conceptualized was Maker Market: a showcase of DVHS student-run businesses. This mini market pop up allowed FOTA attendees to meet student business owners and learn more about their unique products!
Art Wall
To encourage event attendees to share their #dvfota experience on social media, I created a gallery art wall by painting abstract canvases with the signature FOTA colors.
Web Design
I built a brand new website to feature creator profiles, introduce the event theme, and provide resources like a festival schedule. I used Squarespace to build the site layout.
